Wabasis Lake Park

Welcome to a peaceful beach experience! About thirty minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, the sand beach at Wabasis Lake Park covers nearly an acre and features more than 300 feet of shoreline. The beach is about a tenth of a mile from the parking lot and is reached via a natural-surfaced pathway. Along the path, a beach house offers changing rooms and restrooms. A small inland lake, Wabasis offers warmth all summer long. Admission to the beach is free of charge. No lifeguards on duty.
Kirk Park

Admission: $10.00 per car
Stretching along Lake Michigan’s shoreline for over 1/3 mile, this park boasts 68 acres of sandy beach, high bluffs and wooded dunes. Nature trails with wooden stairways wind through the wooded dunes, offering spectacular views of Lake Michigan. A paved path leads to a deck overlooking the beach and Lake Michigan. The best feature: Dog lovers will delight in the off-leash beach at the southernmost area of the park. No lifeguards on duty.
Rosy Mound Natural Area
13925 Lakeshore Dr (Grand Haven, MI)
Summer Hours: 7AM to 10PM
Admission: $7.00 per day
Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high-wooded dunes, foredunes, beach, and a dune blowout. The 0.7 mile hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline provides the seclusion and scenic views you were looking for (includes stairs). A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail, and rustic toilets are located near the beach. No lifeguards on duty.
